Power outages affected more than 2,000 customers in Chilton County starting about 12:36 p.m. Tuesday, including two separate outages traced to a Lomax substation, Alabama Power spokeswoman Jan Ellis reported.
Ellis said there were two cases of wire on the ground, but the cause was unknown as of 1:30 p.m. Two breakers were locked out at the substation, one affecting 1,432 customers and the other affecting 580 customers.
It was reported at 2:04 p.m. that power was restored to all customers.
“We do have somebody there,” she said.
