Habitat for Humanity of Chilton and Autauga counties held a dedication of its newest home on Sunday, June 26.
A crowd gathered as a new family Bible and the keys to the new home were presented to the family of Shane and Robbie Nance.
“We’re so happy that everybody came and helped us,” said Robbie. “We had a good turnout from all the churches. We were amazed.”
The Nance family worked with volunteers to build the home located on 13th Street North and completed homeowner education classes for over 400 hours of “sweat equity.”
Pastor Jake McCall of the Grace Fellowship Church gave a blessing of the new home.
“We are so happy to be here, we absolutely love the house, and we couldn’t have asked for anything better,” said Robbie. “We got so much help and we’re just so happy with everybody.”
