Ernest Webster Hill

Ernest Webster Hill, 98, of Clanton died Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery.

He was born Thursday, April 17, 1913, in Chambers County, son of the late Ernest Hill and the late Herd Adessa West Hill.

He was a farmer.

Surviving are his three daughters, Dorothy (Marc) Williams of Millbrook, Carolyn Smith of Millbrook and Wylene (Dave) Perot of Maylene; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two sisters, Verna Lee Burdett of Roanoke and Odessa Meachem of Talladega; and three brothers, Fred Hill of Shell Knob, Mo., Roy Hill of Talladega and Lindy Hill of New Site.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Trula Hill; second wife, Edna Hill; daughter, Marilyn Hill; great-grandson, Christopher Williams; sister, Lela Mae Lyles; and sister, Dorothy Hill.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Friday, July 1 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Saturday, July 2 at 2 p.m. at Poplar Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Ricky Coburn and the Rev. Mike Ingram officiating.
