Charles Evan Calfee, 68, of Clanton died Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

He was born Thursday, Jan. 7, 1943, in Jefferson County, son of the late Cecil Calfee and the late Vida Plier Calfee.

He was a construction worker with the railroad.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Calfee of Clanton; two sons, Chuck (Krystal) Calfee of Clanton and Kevin (Stacy) Calfee of Clanton; two grandsons, Trey Calfee of Clanton and Cody Calfee of Clanton; and brother, Tom Calfee of Clanton.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Regina Calfee.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Friday, July 1 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Saturday, July 2 at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tony Hughes officiating.

Interment will follow in Walnut Creek United Methodist Cemetery in Clanton.
