Man taken to UAB after wreck

The driver of this pickup truck was ejected from his vehicle and taken to UAB with critical injuries after a wreck Friday afternoon in Clanton.
A man was taken by RPS Ambulance to UAB Hospital following a car accident Friday afternoon in Clanton.
The accident occurred around 2:50 Friday, at the intersection of U.S. 31 and New Harmony Road in the Lomax community.
The driver of a Chevy pickup truck was ejected from his vehicle and taken to UAB. Clanton Fire Chief David Driver classified his injuries as critical but not life-threatening.
The driver of the second vehicle, a four-door passenger car, refused medical treatment, Driver said.
The drivers were the only two people in the vehicles at the time of the crash.
