The seventh annual Chilton County Peach Jam Jubilee did not let a little rain stop the show.

After an evening thunderstorm suspended the event for a little more than two hours, residents, children and vendors climbed from under their tents and umbrellas to hear the soulful band the Tip Tops.

“We’re grateful God has blessed us with good weather,” said Mike Robertson, director of the Chilton County Chamber of Commerce, after it was clear the concert would resume. “We’re going to have a good session with them [the Tip Tops]. I wouldn’t believe that the crowd came back.”

The Tip Tops took to the stage around 8:30, after all activities were stopped around 6:30.
