Gray is the 13-year-old daughter of Chad and Rhonda Gray. She attends Clanton Middle School and was sponsored by Alisa Lynn Photography.

Backstage after the results, Gray said she was too ecstatic for words.

“I don’t know what was going through my head (when they called my name),” Gray said. “I was just excited and very, very happy.”

Gray said she was looking forward to representing Chilton County and its peach growers in the coming year.

Her court included first alternate Catherine Rowe, second alternate Darian Green, third alternate Julianne Lyn and fourth alternate Marissa Muir.

Earlier in the evening, Green won the competition’s casual wear segment. Haley Little won the new Viewers’ Choice award.

Rounding out the Top 10 were Shelbie Robinson, Celeste Montgomery, Elizabeth Ray, Samantha Mason and Hannah Tierce.

The final member will be added to the 2011 Peach Queen Court on Thursday when a new Miss Peach is crowned. That pageant starts at 6:30 p.m. at Chilton County High School. Admission is $5.
