Randy R. Hunt

Randy R. Hunt, age 54, of Vance, went to his heavenly home June 11, 2011, at home, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Cremation Services of Birmingham was in charge of the arrangements. Family and friends will be holding a Celebration of Life at a later date.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold E. Hunt; and stepfather, James V. Bell.
He is survived by his mother, Juanita M. Bell; his sons, Brandon R. Hunt (Jeanie), Jessie R. Hunt, and Joseph (JoJo) Hunt; his daughter, Randi Dawn Scott (Randall); his grandson, Koleton G. Hunt; his sisters, Nancy S. Hunt and Connie Jo McDonald; his brothers, Austin Daniel Hunt (Frances), Jeffery S. Hunt (Sonja), James “Butch” Bell, and Tommy L. Bell (Star); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers include Kenneth and Carol Weaver, Pastor Randy Hollingsworth and wife, Angela, Slayton Rice, Debra Popwell Hunt, Dr. Susan Ferguson, Kevin Cato, Don and Lisa Olvey, Stewart and Tracy Deerman, Ron Dodson, and Southern Care Hospice.
Randy was born Sept. 8, 1956, in Peoria, Ill. and was a resident of Alabama since 1968, where he spent 18 years in Thorsby and the past year in Vance. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his children.
The last years of his life, he enjoyed woodworking and making furniture and crafts for his family and friends.
