Ruby M. Penton, the greatest mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a devoted follower of the Lord stepped into eternity on June 14, 2011, at the age of 88 years at Hatley Healthcare.  She loved painting, ceramics and creating porcelain dolls and their clothes.  She taught classes in painting and ceramics, thereby sharing her talent with others.

She was born Aug. 16, 1922, to the late Bennie and Minnie Higgins.  She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Alfred Penton; and brother, Ben Higgins.

Survivors: son, Wayne (Elaine) Penton; daughter, Pat Wesson and the late Ralph Wesson; daughter, June Wyatt; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and sister, Imogene (C.A.) Turner.
