The Peach Pageants officially got underway Monday evening with Junior Miss Peach Kaitlin Ray’s skating party.

The first two practices for the Junior and Little divisions also took place Monday afternoon.

Practices and parties will continue all week leading up to the first pageant Saturday night at Chilton County High School.

The Young Miss party will be Tuesday, the Little Miss party Wednesday and the Miss Peach party will be Friday. Practices take place every afternoon this week.

The first 2011 Peach Queen will be crowned Saturday, June 18, when the Little Miss Peach contestants take to the stage.

Other pageants will follow the following schedule:

•Young Miss Peach will be Monday, June 20 at 6:30 p.m.

•Junior Miss Peach will be Tuesday, June 21 at 6:30 p.m.

•The Peach Queen pageant will be Thursday, June 23 at 6:30 p.m.

All pageants will take place at Chilton County High School’s auditorium. Admission to each event is $5.
