Horace Thomas Smith, 89, of Dutton died Sunday, June 12, 2011, at DCH Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.

He was born Tuesday, Aug. 23, 1921, in Verbena, son of the late Simon Perry Smith and the late Elizabeth Smith.

He was a shoemaker.

Surviving are his two sons, Jimmy Smith of Savannah, Ga. and David Smith of Clanton; daughter, Lisa Crisp of Dutton; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, June 15 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Wednesday, June 15 at 3 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
