Eight young men will be awarded the rank of Eagle Scout on Saturday, June 11 at 1 p.m. at the Jefferson State Community College, Clanton, Campus.  Troop 11 will award the following the rank of Eagle Scout in a formal Eagle Scout Court of Honor:  Cory Best, Allen Daugherty, Clay Hann, Brad Roller, Shea Rowe, Clint Seales, Ivan Truss and Reece Winslett.  The Scout Masters are Tommy and Ruth Truss.  Six of these eight young men began their scouting careers in first grade and have remained in the same scout troop during their entire scouting career, all of which are upcoming seniors at Chilton County High School. Two of them joined this group after first grade and are recent graduates of the Class of 2011, one from Chilton County High School and one from Verbena High School.  The guest speaker will be Young Boozer, Treasurer of State of Alabama, who is also an Eagle Scout.
