Bernie Clark Mullins, 70, of Clanton died Thursday, June 2, 2011, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

He was born Tuesday, Dec. 24, 1940, in Chilton County, son of the late Jimi Mullins and the late Ida Jones Mullins.

He was an insurance salesman.

Surviving are his wife, Jo Ann Mullins of Clanton; two sons,  Kendall Mullins of Birmingham and Kent (Celestie) Mullins of Clanton; granddaughter, Clarissa Mullins of Clanton; grandson, Patrick Michael Flynn; sister, Joyce (Jimmy) Bice of Montevallo; and two brothers, Kenneth (Mary) Mullins and Harold (Joyce) Mullins.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Saturday, June 4 at West End Baptist Church.

Services will be held Sunday, June 5 at 2 p.m. at West End Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenny Martin and the Rev. Eddie Lightsey officiating.

Interment will follow in Chilton Memorial Gardens in Clanton.
