Reita Faye Patterson, 51, of Verbena died Monday, May 30, 2011, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

She was born Wednesday, June 17, 1959, in Jemison, daughter of the late Cecil Wyatt and the late Grace Emily Thomas Wyatt.

She was a textile worker.

Surviving are her husband, L.J. Patterson of Verbena; four daughters, Kelly (Jonathan) Benson of Verbena, Joney Lightsey of Perdido Beach, Fla., Kelly Smitherman of Thorsby and Jamie (Forrest) Silas of Clanton; son, Jeffrey (Brandi) Patterson of Verbena; five grandchildren, Ethan Benson, Emily Rose Dowling, Haylie Claire Patterson, Dalton Smitherman and Austin Silas.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 1 at 10 a.m. at Martin Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Kenny Martin officiating.

Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.
