A woman was taken by helicopter to a hospital on Tuesday to treat injuries sustained after falling from a moving vehicle.

The Chilton County Sheriff’s Department responded to the incident, which reportedly followed a domestic dispute, according to Sheriff Kevin Davis.

“The investigation is ongoing, and we hope to be able to conclude whether she was pushed or jumped from the vehicle,” Davis said.

The incident happened about 4 p.m. Tuesday on County Road 13, in the Collins Chapel community.

Davis said the injured person was transported to UAB, and her condition Wednesday was unknown.

The sheriff said the next step in the investigation would be to speak with the injured person, if and when she is able.

Names and residences of the parties involved were unavailable.

No arrests have been made.
