James Arthur Chandler Jr., age 66 of Alamo, Ga., formerly of Jemison, passed away April 23, 2011.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Arthur (Doc) and Mildred Durbin Chandler; brother, Larry (Peachie) Chandler; and stepmother, Polly Chandler.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Elisabeth Chandler; daughters, Pam Screws, Jenny Pickle and Laura Rittenhouse; brothers, Sidney, Micheal and Randal Chandler; sister, Mary Wilson; and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services were April 28 at Friendship Baptist Church in Alamo, Ga. with burial at Alamo City Cemetery.
