Jackie Lee Keener, age 53, of Maplesville passed away May 4, 2011, at her residence. She was born in Alabama on July 30, 1957, the daughter of Billy Joe Strickland and the late Dorothy Cosby Strickland.

Mrs. Keener was a homemaker.

She is survived by: daughter, Monica (Greg) Hutchinson of Lawley; son, Allen (Stephanie) Keener of Maplesville; father, Billy Joe (Jackie) Strickland of Montevallo; sister, Teresa Bolton of Thorsby; brother, Jeff Strickland of Clanton; granddaughter, Skyler Keener of Maplesville; and grandsons: Jacob, Taz, and Adam Hutchinson of Lawley, and Devin Keener of Maplesville.

She was preceded in death by: mother, Dorothy Strickland and brother, Joe Strickland.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 5 from 5-8 p.m. at Ellison-Mims Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 6 at 2 p.m. from University Highway Church of God in Maplesville, with the Rev. Billy Boatwright and the Rev. Joey Boatwright officiating.

Burial will follow in the University Highway Church of God Cemetery.
