James S. Driver, 81, of Clanton died Monday, May 2, 2011, at his residence.

He was born Wednesday, May 8, 1929, in Chilton County, son of the late James Watts Driver and the late Artie Mae Driver.

He was a truck driver.

He was the loving father of James (Susan) Driver of Jemison, Dale (Jennie) Driver of Clanton; two daughters, Darlene Parlier of Naples, Fla. and Lana (Jerome) Royster of Athens; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kathleen Driver.

Friends will be received from 1-2 p.m., Thursday, May 5 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, May 5 at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Bowman officiating.
