Jessie Lenore Dovey, age 94 of Clanton and formerly of Bradenton, Fla., passed away on April 24, 2011, at her residence.
She was born in Detroit, Mich. on Aug. 23, 1916, the daughter of the late Peter Lebeck and the late Nina Pearson Lebeck.
She is survived by: son, Ron (Nancy) Dovey of Clanton; son, Rick (Julie) Dovey of Pownal, Vt.; granddaughter, Cheryl (John) Goodson of Tallahassee, Fla.; grandson, Brian (Linda) Dovey of Clanton; grandson, Scott Dovey of Fort Myers, Fla.; granddaughter, Suzy Dovey (Jeff) Kalin of Sarasota, Fla.; grandson, Peter Dovey of San Mateo, Calif.; and grandson, Cole Dovey of San Francisco, Calif.; along with seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 30 from 10 a.m. until noon at Trinity Episcopal Church located at 503 Second Ave. S. in Clanton.
Funeral services will be held following the visitation at noon (CDT) with the Rev. William King officiating.
Entombment services will be held on Tuesday, May 3 at 2 p.m. (EDT) at the Mansion Memorial Park Mausoleum located at 1400 36th Ave. E. in Ellenton, Fla. (813-722-6602).
The family requests no flowers but that memorial contributions be made to Trinity Episcopal Church in Clanton.
