Mary Frances Collins Burnett, 80, of Clanton died Monday, April 25, 2011.

She was born Wednesday, Jan. 7, 1931, in Florida, daughter of the late Akins Irving Collins and the late Mary Douglas Goodgame Collins.

She was a schoolteacher.

Surviving are her husband, William Popwell “Bill” Burnett of Clanton; daughter, Mary Burnett (Jimmy) Burt of Millbrook; two sons, William Francis Burnett of Clanton and Julius Collins Burnett of Clanton; brother-in-law, John Paul DeCarlo of Birmingham; sister-in-law, Elizabeth “Betty” Jones Collins of Jemison; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, April 27 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 28 at 2 p.m. at Martin Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Matt DeBord officiating.

The family requests no flowers or food.
