Clanton courts and police will accept most credit and debit cards to pay fines, court costs and other fines.

The city will use CitePay, which adds on a small percentage fee to all debit and credit card transactions.

In other business, the council voted to hire Casey Martin to work in the street department, effective May 5, and had a first reading (to come up for final approval at a later meeting) to grant an off-site retail beer and wine license to Dollar General and a lounge license to Kokomo.
