William Luther Vines

William Luther Vines, age 75 of the Mt. Springs Community in Clanton, passed away on April 20, 2011, in Alabaster.
He was born in Chilton County on Dec. 13, 1935, the son of the late Clauden Vines and the late Ida Lee Willis Vines.
Mr. Vines was a Victorian hand carver.
He is survived by: wife, Connie Sue Vines; son, Garry Vines; daughter, Debra Bates; son, Mike Vines; son, Kelvin Vines all of Clanton; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and sisters, Rosie Headley and Elizabeth Samples.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 21 from 6-8 p.m. at Mt. Springs Independent Methodist Protestant Church in Clanton.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 22 at 11 a.m. from Mt. Springs Independent Methodist Protestant Church with Bro. Kenneth Moates and the Rev. Don Vanderslice officiating.
Burial will follow in Mt. Springs Cemetery. Final care and arrangements entrusted to Ellison-Mims Funeral Home of Clanton.
