Parents and their children participated in activities at Family Fun Day held Saturday, April 16 at Chilton County High School.

The event was sponsored by The Chilton Shelby Mental Health Center, Chilton County High School SADD chapter and Clanton Police Department to raise awareness regarding drug prevention, the dangers of underage drinking and parents hosting parties where underage drinking is allowed.

“It’s great to see the kids out here for such a positive event,” said Officer Keith Maddox of Clanton Police Department. “It’s in a great location and hopefully this is the start of something we can have every year.”
