Sarah Catherine Jones Cottrell, 74, of Clanton died Monday, April 11, 2011.

She was born Friday, Nov. 13, 1936, in Shelby County, daughter of the late Odis Jones and the late Linnie Mae Gurin Jones.

She was a nurse’s aide.

Surviving are her son, James Larry (Mary) Cottrell of Selma; daughter, Helen Cottrell Loper of Clanton; three grandsons, James Donnie Loper of Tooele, Utah, Jason Loper of Ozark and Jeromey Loper of Saucier, Miss.; four granddaughters, Jammie Loper Wilkenson of Clanton, Rebecca Chappelle of Selma, Sarah Finley of Maplesville and Jessica Johnson of Selma; 14 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; two beloved sisters-in-law, Audrey Jones and Lucy Jones; and a beloved brother-in-law, Charles Cottrell.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Friday, April 15 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Saturday, April 16 at 10 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Darrell Jones and David Jones officiating.

Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.
