Care Net Pregnancy Resource Center of Chilton County, Inc. has made some updates to its hours of operation and is now under a new director.

The non-profit Christian ministry dedicated to reaching women and families facing difficult decisions brought on by an unplanned pregnancy is now directed by Deanna Crist.

On March 9, Crist filled the seat as director after the resignation of former director Linda Beebe.

Crist received a Bachelor’s degree from Southeastern Bible College, in the area of Christian leadership. She was previously employed at Lifeline Children’s Services, a Christian ministry seeking to provide care for orphans through the avenues of adoption, foster care and birth mother counseling.

Crist has already received the chance to represent the county on a state level. She attended a Pro-Life Legislative Day at the Alabama State House, where first lady Dianne Bentley was the guest speaker, along with many other pro-life legislative representatives earlier this month.

“I’m happy to be here,” said Crist. “I was excited to be a part of the Pro-Life Legislative Day. Executive directors of pregnancy centers were invited to attend the signing, and I was excited to be a representative of Chilton County.”

In addition to a new director, the organization’s new hours of operation began this week.

Care Net will now be open Tuesday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Wednesday 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., and Thursday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

“This change was made to be able to and in hopes to attract more clients,” said Crist.
