Isabella’s softball team defeated Billingsley, 10-0, on Tuesday to improve its area record to 2-1.

Chelsea Cox was the winning pitcher, striking out seven batters in four innings.

Kinslee Mims took over in the fifth inning and held on for the shut out.

Allison Mims drew a walk in the bottom of the first inning, stole second base, took third on a wild pitch and scored on a passed ball.

Billingsley loaded the bases in the second and third and fifth innings but couldn’t push a run across.

IHS, meanwhile, exploded for eight runs in the bottom of the third and scored one in the fifth to end the game early.

Kacie Adams went 1-for-3 with a run batted in and one run scored.

Cox went 1-for-3 with one run scored, and Mims walked twice and scored twice.
