Three Clanton men face charges after what Clanton Police call a series of “violent encounters” in West End.

Dandre Jemison, Gregory Collins and Stedman Kine were all arrested Thursday, March 17 and charged with robbery and theft of property, according to Clanton Police Capt. David Clackley.

“Over the past week, we have received numerous calls of fights, shots fired and robberies, but upon arrival, we could not get cooperation from the victims,” said Clanton Police Chief Brian Stilwell.

On Thursday, Clanton Police again responded to two different reports of fights and shots fired. Reports were also filed concerning two different robberies near Fourth Avenue.

Those arrested and charged were:

•Dandre Shamar Jemison, 25, of Clanton, one count of robbery first and one count of theft of property second. He is currently in the Chilton County Jail on bonds totaling $120,000.

•Stedman Tyreese Kine, 19, of Clanton, two counts of robbery first and two counts of theft of property second. He is currently in the Chilton County Jail on bonds totaling $240,000.

•Gregory Markese Collins, 20, of Clanton, two counts of robbery first and two counts of theft of property second. He is currently in the Chilton County Jail on bonds totaling $240,000.

Clanton Police are still looking for two additional persons of interest, Anthony Wooley Jr. and Kyonta Ware.

Anyone with any information about the two’s whereabouts should contact Chilton County Communications at (205) 755-1120, the Clanton Police Secret Witness Line at (205) 755-1416 or Clanton Police Detectives at (205) 755-1194, ext. 311.

“We are aggressively looking for anyone involved in this recent string of robberies and shootings,” said Stilwell. “While no one has been injured, we want to work to ensure the safety of all the good citizens who live peacefully in the West End community. We will have increased patrols throughout the weekend.”
