Jacob Smith qualified to represent Clanton Middle School at the state level of the National Geographic Bee, sponsored by Google and Plum Creek.

The state Bee will be held Friday, April 1 at Samford University. In December, Smith won the school level bee. He then took a written test, and the results from that test qualified him to participate at the state level.

Smith is the son of Chris and Shellie Smith.
