In celebration of the church’s 34th anniversary, The World’s Church of the Living God in Clanton is presenting a concert and fashion show Saturday, March 26, for the community to enjoy.

The rising family youth band, the Hunter Moss Group hailing from Chattanooga, Tenn., will perform The Jackson 5 Revue in the Chilton County High School auditorium.

The group has been performing together for two years and includes twin brothers Chazz and Charles Hunter, 12, their nephews Hunter and Cornelius Moss, 9 and 11, and family friends Solomon King, 10, and Tristian Winston, 11.

They perform hits by The Jackson 5 and other classic funk/soul artists.

The up-and-coming group recently learned it would participate in the second round of auditions for NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.”

In addition to the group’s performance, Sherrie Etchison of Chattanooga, Tenn., will present a runway extravaganza fashion show, featuring designer Brandon Pierre.

Churches traveling from as far away as Tennessee and Florida will be in attendance.

“We’re inviting everyone to come out and join us in the celebration of the church,” said Mildred Johnson, coordinator of the event. “We also want to invite everyone to come out and fellowship with us. Services are on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. at 1205 2nd Ave. N. in Clanton.”

The performances will be held at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Admission is $10, which includes dinner prepared by churchgoers. The dinner will be held at the church from 4-5:30 p.m.
