Chilton County’s baseball team fell behind early and couldn’t catch up with an unbeaten Prattville team on Monday at the Lake Martin Classic, losing 8-6.

Prattville (14-0) scored five runs in the first inning and three more in the second to chase the CCHS starting pitcher, but the Tigers (8-4) fought back.

Trevor Thomas shut out the Lions over four innings, allowing just two hits and no walks.

The offense was provided by Craig Headley (4-for-4 with a double, two runs batted in and one run scored) and Adam Minor (2/4 with a home run, one run and two RBI) among others.

Tyler Crowson, Kipp Moore, Blake Teel and Trevor Thomas also had hits.
