The Central Alabama Red Devils won their first game of the season, 18-0 over Clay County on March 6.

On Saturday, the Red Devils, a first-year team competing in the National Developmental Football League, will welcome the Alabama Avengers, a team ranked high in semi-pro polls.

The game will begin at 6 p.m. at Maplesville’s George Walker Jr. Stadium.

The Red Devils should again rely on their stingy defense and rushing offense.

In their first win, Jamar Hopson rushed nine times for 37 yards and two touchdowns, Jeremy Anderson rushed six times for 50 yards and Byron Oliver rushed five times for 31 yards.

Darian Parker scored Central Alabama’s other touchdown as he returned a fumble 21 yards for a touchdown.
