Isabella softball traveled to Vincent on Tuesday and defeated the Yellow Jackets, 11-0.

The Mustangs scored a run in the top of the first inning with an RBI sacrifice from Ann-Marie Murray.

In the bottom of the first, the Yellow Jackets stranded runners at second and third bases.

IHS added a run in the top of the second, taking advantage of a walk and two errors, and held Vincent scoreless in the bottom half, recording two strikeouts.

Then the skies opened up and the rain began to saturate the field.

Neither team mounted a scoring threat in the third or fourth innings, but in the fifth the Mustangs’ stampede began.

They again took advantage of walks to Allison Mims, Murray, Kaylynn Culp and Makaela Littleton as well as two fielding errors to score seven more runs.

The stingy Mustang defense again held Vincent scoreless to maintain a 9-0 lead.

In the sixth, Culp walked and Mary Mims subbed in to run for her and was driven home on a double by Kristin Adams.

Kacie Adams later hit a sacrifice, driving in Kristin.

Chelsea Cox struck out seven and earned the win on the mound to run her record to 4-1.

Cox also went 2-for-3 at the plate with 2 RBI and two runs scored

Kristin Adams went 2-for-3, and Sarah Wooldridge scored two runs.
