Walk-off homer leads Thorsby over Maplesville

Bo Hoffman hit a game winning solo home run on March 4 as Thorsby’s baseball team won at Maplesville, 8-7.

Hoffman also walked twice in four at-bats, but Thorsby’s leading hitter was Parker Bryan, who went 3-for-3 with a double, two runs scored and two runs batted in.

Shane Beam was the winning pitcher, striking out three in 5 1/3 relief innings pitched.

THS improves to 7-1 on the year, while the loss was Maplesville’s first; the Red Devils are now 5-1.

Both teams play this week in the Chilton County Baseball Tournament.
