Mr. James Allen Chandler, 74, of Evergreen died March 2, 2011, at Providence Hospital in Mobile.

He was born April 12, 1936, in Autauga County. He was a butcher/meat market manager.

Services will be held Saturday, March 5 at 11 a.m. at Bower Memorial Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Welcome Cemetery. Visitation was Friday, March 4 from 6-8 p.m. at Cope Funeral Home.

Surviving are his wife, Jerry Purnell Chandler of Evergreen; daughters, Ann Nobles (Rickey) of Evergreen and Susan Chandler of Mobile; sister, Dorothy Ray (Curtis) of Clanton; two grandchildren, Drew Barlow (Kristle) of Seward, Alaska and Haley Nobles of Evergreen; and two great grandchildren, Koltin and Kyler Barlow of Seward, Alaska.

Arrangements were handled by Cope Funeral Home of Evergreen.
