The Chilton County Motor Vehicle Tag Department will be closed Wednesday as an update is installed on the department’s computer system, Tax Collector Tim Little said.

The computer system will be down from 6 p.m. Tuesday to 8 a.m. Thursday, according to an email from the state that Little’s office received Tuesday.

“We can’t do tags or titles or any of that [Wednesday], so the office is going to be completely closed,” Little said.

All other county offices will remain open.
