The city of Clanton will be celebrating National Arbor Day on Tuesday, Feb. 22 through the annual Tree Giveaway.

The giveaway will be held at Clanton City Hall near the Second Avenue entrance beginning at 9 a.m.

Seedling species to be given away include: Shumard Oak, Sawtooth Oak, Nuttall Oak, Live Oak, Chickasaw Plum, Red Oak, Japanese Maple, River Birch, Green Ash, Red Maple, Beauty Berry, White Mulberry, Crepe Myrtle, Chinese Dogwood, Oak Leaf Hydrangea, and Bald Cypress.
