Jemison’s boys tennis team won its first two matches of the season, 7-2 against Thompson on Thursday and 6-3 at Moody on Friday.

In Thursday matches, which were played at Jemison, JHS winners included the doubles teams of Drew Posey and Jordan Jones, Andrew Morton and Jake Long, and Cole Thompson and Nic Long; and Posey, Taylor Long, Morton and Jake Long in singles action.

On Friday, winners were Posey, Taylor Long, Morton, and Jake Long, and the doubles teams of Jake Long and Morton, and Thompson and Nic Long.

Jemison’s girls lost their first two matches, 9-0 to Thompson and 2-7 to Moody.

First-year player Haley Smitherman and the doubles team of Macey Thompson and Marissa Jones were winners against Moody.
