A 24-year-old Clanton resident was arrested Wednesday and charged with distributing crack cocaine.

Katorri Rashuad faces three charges of distribution of a controlled substance. The suspect was placed in the Chilton County Jail on bonds totaling $180,000.

Clanton Police served the arrest warrant shortly before 7 a.m. at 1410 1/2 Fourth Ave. in Westfield Federal Housing.

The arrest follows an investigation that took place over the past several months, according to Capt. David Clackley.
