Brandon Joel Lockhart, 24, of Clanton died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011, at Chilton Medical Center in Clanton.

He was born Thursday, Jan. 22, 1987, in Alabama, son of the late Billy Joe Lockhart and Melissa Cleckley Lockhart.

Surviving are his mother, Melissa Lockhart of Clanton; sister, Britney Lockhart of Clanton; brother, Bobby Joe Lockhart of Clanton; grandmother, Joann Simmons of Clanton; aunt, Marie Lockhart of Clanton; and a number of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Joe “BJ” Lockhart; grandfather, Billy Simmons; grandparents, Reedie and Jewel Lockhart; uncle, Jerry Lockhart; and cousin, Lee Mims.

Services will be held Friday, Jan. 28 at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Thurmond Cleckler officiating.

Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.
