Duvard Odis Ray, 88, of Jemison died Monday, Jan. 24, 2011, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

He was born Wednesday, Feb. 15, 1922, in Chilton County, son of the late Neopoleon Ray and the late Ivy Lowery Ray.

He was a carpenter.

Surviving are his three sons, Freemon (Frances) Ray of Jemison, Gleemon (Earlene) Ray of Thorsby and Wendall (Charlotte) Ray of Jemison; daughter, Lou (Donald) Liveoak of Thorsby; 13 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; brother, Raymond Earl Ray; and two sisters, Gladys Price and Arletha Price.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 25 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 26 at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Wyatt and the Rev. Royce Littleton officiating.

Interment will follow in Midway Memorial Gardens in Jemison.
