Marion Robinson, 86, of Jemison died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

He was born Thursday, March 27, 1924, in Alabama, son of the late Joe Robinson and the late Maude Scott Robinson.

He was a machinist.

Surviving are his daughter, Brenda (Ed) Easterling of Jemison; son, Roger (Lynn) Robinson of Deatsville; granddaughter, Jenna Robinson of Auburn; grandson, Shane (Karen) Easterling of Ashville; four great grandchildren; one step grandchild; one great-great grandson; brother, J.O. Robinson of Jemison; and two sisters, Lois Porter of Thorsby and Clara Campbell of Thorsby.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Robinson.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 18 at Pates Chapel Baptist Church.

Services will be Wednesday, Jan. 19 at 2 p.m. at Pates Chapel with the Rev. Clint Harris and the Rev. Willard Frederick officiating. Interment will follow in Pates Chapel Baptist Cemetery in Jemison.
