Arthur William Walker, 65, of Clanton died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, at Chilton Medical Center in Clanton.

He was born Saturday, Sept. 29, 1945, in Blount County, son of the late James Edward Walker and the late Mary Ella Lee Walker.

He was a painter.

Surviving are his wife, Myrtice S. Walker; three daughters, June (Dennis) Samples, Charlotte (James) Owens and Linda Posey; son, Robert (Sherry) Manning; five granddaughters; five grandsons; brothers, Jimmy, Bob, Phillip, Gary and Ezekiel Walker; and sisters, Brenda Tatum and Evelyn Bowles.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lee Walker; father, James Walker; step-dad, V.L. Herndon; brother, Willie Paul Walker; and brother, James Wayne Walker.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 30 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Friday, Dec. 31 at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Northcutt and the Rev. Randall Beagles officiating.

Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.
