Curtis Briggs Franklin, 73, of Jemison died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010.

He was born Monday, Sept. 6, 1937, in Chilton County, son of the late James Briggs Franklin and the late Lillie A. Waldrop Franklin.

He was a radiologist specialist.

Surviving are his wife, J. Faye Franklin of Jemison; daughter, Terri Franklin (Steve) Howard of Jemison; two sons, Howard B. (Sherri) Franklin of Ft. Benning, Ga. and Anthony (Kellie) Franklin of Jemison. He was Pa Paw to nine grandchildren, Ashley and Shane Howard, Geoffrey and Jasper Franklin, Heather and Lilly Franklin, Blayze Franklin, Breagan and Briklyn Franklin; and two brothers, George D. Franklin of Center Point and Allen B. Franklin of Jemison.

Friends will be received from 1-2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 30 at Pleasant Grove Baptist No. 1.

Services will be held Thursday, Dec. 30 at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist No. 1 with the Rev. Doug West officiating.

Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist No. 1 Cemetery. Martin Funeral Home directing.
