Both people involved with a wreck on Highway 82 in Maplesville on Monday have been released from the hospital, according to Scott Conner with the Maplesville Police Department.

A juvenile Maplesville student was traveling west near the 103-mile marker and the old Triple G store when he came upon a vehicle turning off the road.

Unable to stop before the vehicle, the students veered into oncoming traffic, colliding with a vehicle being driven by Kevin Walters, 55, of Starkville, Miss.

The MHS student was driving a Ford Ranger, and Walters was in a Lexus sport utility vehicle.
