Gerald Wayne Chapman, 70, of Jemison died Monday, Dec. 13, 2010.

He was born on Thursday, July 18, 1940, in Jefferson County, son of the late Robert Lester Chapman and the late Myrtice Henley Chapman.
He was a greeter at Walmart in Calera.

Surviving are his sister, Carol Chapman Peters of Jemison; brother, Doug Chapman of Jemison; nine nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 15, at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 16 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Methodist Cemetery in Clanton.
