Isabella’s girls on Monday won on the strength of an impressive performance by senior Whitney Smith.

Smith scored 26 points, pulled down six rebounds and recorded five steals as the Mustangs (6-1, 1-1) defeated Victory Christian, 59-15.

Amber Wyatt also recorded a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds, and Chasity Williams contributed eight points and eight steals.

Isabella’s boys fell at Victory, 59-48, despite 25 points from J.D. Lenoir.

Austin Haigler had 11 points as the Mustangs fell to 1-6 overall and 1-1 in area play.

Both Isabella teams host area foe Thorsby beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
