Concerning severe weather, no news is especially good news. Despite three tornado warnings for Chilton County on Tuesday morning, no damage was reported.

Chilton County EMA Director Bill Collum said he knew of no damage reports through Tuesday afternoon.

The warnings were issued ahead of a cold front passing through central Alabama. The first one was for northwest Chilton and south Shelby counties; the other two were for storms moving through west-central Chilton into Coosa County.

Chilton County Schools were closed Tuesday as a precautionary measure.

Following the severe weather, temperatures were expected to drop overnight Wednesday into the upper 20s.
