Benjamin “Benny” Harrison Sims III, 62,  of Clanton died Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, at Hatley Health Care in Clanton.

He was born Saturday, Jan. 31, 1948, in Chilton County, son of Benjamin Harrison Sims Jr. and the late Marie Price Sims.

He was a tool and die maker.

Surviving are his two sons, Timothy Bruce Sims and Richard Daniel Sims; three step-sons, Tommy Ikner, Joey Ikner and Brian Ikner; father, B. Harry Sims; and eight grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 5-8, Tuesday, Nov. 23 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 24 at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Olen Hutchins and the Rev. Oneal Cleckler officiating.

Interment will follow in Clanton City Cemetery.
