Delores Jennette Davis, 73, of Fultondale died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010, at Greenbriar at Altamont in Birmingham.
She was born Monday, Aug. 9, 1937, in Truman, Ark., daughter of the late Eugene Davies and the late Maxola Mae Dailey Davies.
She was a deli worker at Winn Dixie.
Surviving are her three daughters, Sandy Simpson of Birmingham, Kathy (Steve) Rodgers-Smith of Fultondale and Gale (Robert) Hollis of Dora; son, Sam (Sharon) Davis of Jemison; grandchildren, Megan, Brian and Derrick Simpson, Scott Rodgers and Dedra Roberson, Chris Hollis and April Hollis Thomas, Rylan Davis and Stephanie Banniza; sister, Diane Turpin of Indiana; and four great grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 16 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel and from 12-2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 17 at Mars Hill Baptist Church.
Services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 17 at 2 p.m. at Mars Hill Baptist Church, with Dr. Herbert Thomas officiating.
Interment will follow in Mars Hill Baptist Cemetery in Jemison.
