A certificate of need was granted late Monday to a controversial methadone treatment facility.

The certificate was issued pursuant to Circuit Court Order to GASKH Corporation, Chilton County Treatment Center, for the construction and operation of a methadone treatment facility at 2100 Holiday Inn Drive in Clanton.

The project would cost an estimated $724,500.
